The analysis of the available bibliographic sources on the study of the value and importance of sanitary treatment of cow’s udder teats before and after milking is carried out. The use of agents for pre- and post-milking treatment of cow’s udder teats is considered in the article. When studying the use of a disinfectant based on chlorine dioxide for the sanitary treatment of the skin of cow’s udder teats the most effective was the dilution of a disinfectant with a concentration of a working solution of chlorine dioxide of 90 mg/l. The product for the treatment of cow’s udder teats after milking provides high preventive effectiveness against mastitis and longer hygienic protection of cow’s udder teats in the intervals between milking.
The available bibliographic sources on the study of the veterinary drugs use effectiveness for mastitis treatment in cows in various physiological periods are analyzed. The use of anti-mastitis drugs for lactating and dry cows’ treatment is highlighted. Mastitis incidence in cows and relative study of the treatment mode for mastitis in the lactation and dry periods with the use of new drugs developed by Oryol SAU in cooperation with Experimental and Technological Company Etris, LLC is analyzed. In the experiment, the therapeutic efficacy of new anti-mastitis drugs was found to be 5-6% higher compared to those used on the farm. For high therapeutic efficacy, dosage scheme to be strictly followed, which will reduce the material costs for treatment.
The available bibliographic sources on the study of distal limbs diseases in cows were analyzed. The causes and factors that contribute to limb pathology risk in cows at milk production enterprises are emphasized. Lack of active exercise, inadequate feeding rations, insufficient veterinary hygiene, high contamination of premises and low or insufficient level of preventive medical care have an increase in the incidence of animals up to 40% of the herd. Therefore, the problem of cows’ distal limbs pathology treatment and prevention is currently of great importance. In the complex preventive and medical care against the disease of the distal limbs in cows, functional trimming of the hoof horn has an important veterinary hygienic value. The beginning of therapy at an early stage reduces the risk of developing more severe pathologies of the limbs. The use of “EMS-I type A” for the treatment and prevention of distal limb lesions, depending on the degree and size of tissue damage, provides recovery after 2-3 bandages and disease containment in the study groups.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
