Archie B. Carroll completed his academic training in full at the Florida State University (Tallahassee, Florida). He graduated with a bachelor degree in business administration in personnel management in 1965. He continued his studies in management and organizations and received his MBA in 1966. He completed his academic education with a doctoral thesis 6 years after completing his master's degree. His PhD in business administration (1972) also dealt with the topic of management and organizations. Before completing his PhD, he served as an assistant professor at Athens (Ala.) College (from 1966 to 1969) and as an instructor for the Florida State University College of Business (from 1969 to 1972) (Terry College of Business 2019).
