Evaluation of the usability of the collection is an activity to assess the use of the collections contained in the library and have been developed in accordance with the objectives and applicable standards. This study aims to determine how the level of wearability of the collections of the Library Widyagama University in Malang using citation analysis in the Thesis of the Agribusiness Department of the Widyagama University of Malang. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with citation analysis approach. The population of this research is the thesis of the Department of Agribusiness in 2017-2021 with a total of 28 theses. Data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. The data analysis technique of this research is by analyzing the types of documents that are often cited, the rank of titles and authors that are often cited, the half of life and obsolescence of the cited books, the language of the cited books, and evaluation of the availability of the cited books. Based on the results of the study, students of the Agribusiness Department in 2017-2021 tend to use references that come from books. The most cited books are introductory books and research methods. Books cited by students as much as 51% or after have been considered obsolete. The language of instruction for the book cited is dominantly Indonesian. The level of usability of the collections available at the Library Widyagama University in Malang is still relatively low, only 18% of the cited books are available in the library.
This study discusses about management concepts that are implemented in leadership in public institutions engaged in information and community services. The concept of interaction between knowledge management in leadership on the institution is the main focus in this study. Social facts in the process of appointing leadership in organizational institutions are also discussed in it. This study was prepared with the aim of describing the concepts of knowledge management, leadership, and the relationship between them, as well as their reflection in public organizations on existing information and technology. The problem of leadership in each institution has repeatedly been in the public spotlight, especially for institutions that provide services to the community today, which are felt by the wider community, especially members of organizations who are directly involved in it.
Background of the study: Information management in an organization or institution, especially for institutions related to public information needs, has an important role. Purpose: This study provides an overview and view of how the information management process is carried out in several public institutions, how it is currently developing, and what factors affect the implementation of information management in each public institution. Method: The method used in compiling this paper is a qualitative descriptive research. Using an interview and literature study with several literatures related to the information management framework implemented in several countries and institutions that the author has carried out himself. Findings: The results of this study provide an understanding of the situation and conditions in each institution in managing its information, so that it can be a view for other institutions in designing and managing information in their own environment.
