Every event receives people's attention either locally or globally. Major events (like radiation accidents, epidemics and pandemics) affecting a large number of people often receive world's attention which peaks soon after the event and subsides gradually. However, the dynamics of cause-effect in major events is not well understood and it is not clear if the focused attention of normal population impacts the well-being of the exposed victims and how different groups interact with each other. The idea of panpsychism and hierarchical consciousness suggests that consciousness prevails beyond an individual and operates at many levels like family, community, state, territories, nations, and world consciousness. In this perspective, based on the idea of hierarchical consciousness, the impact of collective consciousness in major events like mass radiation exposures or epidemics has been discussed. It is being suggested that higher consciousness (focused attention of a large number of people) impacts (which can be either detrimental or constructive) the well-being of exposed population. The possible role of quantum entanglement in exerting the impact of the focused thoughts of a large number of people (collective consciousness) has also been discussed.
Whole body exposure to acute doses of ionizing radiation may result in either hematopoietic or gastrointestinal form of acute radiation syndrome (hs-ARS or GI-ARS). ARS is multifactorial in nature and is the result of complex interactions which are dynamic in a spatial-temporal fashion. This complexity poses a real challenge to radioprotective drug development endeavours (especially post irradiation protection). Understanding of the spatial-temporal complexity at cellular, tissue, organ, system and organism level, seems to be a critical prerequisite for the development of ideal medical radiation countermeasures but as of now it is not implicitly deciphered. Here, we are proposing, based on the idea of panpsychism, hierarchical consciousness (atomic, molecular, supramolecular, cellular, tissue, organ, system, systemic and so on) as a probable strategy for deciphering the complexity that evolve during and after exposure to ionizing radiation. The hierarchical consciousness is also proposed as a framework or model for artificial intelligence (AI) based strategies to understand the pathophysiology of ARS.
The ongoing pandemic, COVID-19, has received unprecedented global attention. Though a pathogen is essentially the causative agent, the dynamics of the cause-effect in major events like the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is not well understood. It is not even clear if the focused attention of the normal population impacts the safety and health of the exposed victims and in what way the different groups interact with each other, is also a big question. The idea of panpsychism and hierarchical consciousness suggests that consciousness functions beyond an individual and works at distinct levels such as family, community, state, territories, nations, and world. In this perspective, keeping in mind, the idea of hierarchical consciousness, the impact of higher consciousness in major events like the COVID-19 pandemic, on the well-being and fate of the exposed population along with the probable role of quantum entanglement, has been discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
