The lifetimes of oops atoms for 40% water-DPPC systems vary slowly with respect to temperature starting before the pretransition temperature of the system. The increase of ooPs lifetime is associated with the pretransition as well as with the main transition of the lipid aggregates. The determination of the phase-transition temperature in terms of the onset temperature and the differential lifetime methods is discussed and compared with the known results obtained by the differential-scanning-calorimetry and the positron Doppler-broadening methods.5836
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
