This study presents the analysis of one of the contexts of finds unearthed within rescue archaeological research associated with a planned construction of a house in Tylova Street in the town of Planá, near Mariánské Lázně. The analysis of the location and selected finds supported the interpretation of the place as a disposal site of a potter's workshop. Owing to the fact that it was rescue research, i.e. spatially limited, the article also outlines problems brought by these limitations as regards interpretation.
