This article aims to critically analyze the Labor Reform-Law No. 13,467, of November 2017-, presented by the executive branch and approved by the government of Michel Temer. It seeks to show that the theoretical and rhetorical framework that supported the narrative of the proposition and the discussion that led to its approval was that of neoliberalism. According to what was announced, there would be a need for economic, political and institutional adjustments in the country in order to make the labor market more flexible and deregulated to reduce unemployment and informality. However, the analysis of the concrete reality and the specialized literature on the subject showed that the Reform, in addition to not complying with any of these premises, deepened the destruction of the guarantees and security that employees had in the modified CLT.
