The theme addressed is about the environmental practices of enterprises in the Caldeirão resort in the city of Piripiri-PI, and the consequences caused when there is no training of employees, since the environmental issue is one of the main coefficients for the success of any enterprise. , entity or organization. For this, a problem arose: What Environmental Management practices occur in the developments of the Caldeirão resort? The objective was to analyze the actions and responsibilities that the enterprises of that region have with sustainability. It was justified as relevant, since it sought to demonstrate to society the innumerable forms and consequences of the absence of environmental responsibilities and the lack of training of employees towards the environment. The methodology was descriptive in terms of objectives, field research regarding the technical procedure and presents itself with a predominantly quantitative approach. A semi-structured questionnaire containing 13 questions was applied in a universe of 16 small enterprises, in Banda, with a total number of 12 managers as an instrument for data collection. This instrument addressed the level of knowledge of managers about environmental practices and people management; development of environmental practices, in addition to training and qualification. It is concluded with this research that even without a broad theoretical knowledge, the enterprises have concerns with environmental practices. In the results obtained, the majority declared to practice selective collection and water saving. With regard to People Management, the enterprises have family members as employees and training takes place internally, however, there are institutions that offer training such as SEBRAE.
