Resumo: O presente trabalho trata sobre uma proposta de captação de recursos financeiros para um departamento de esporte de uma Faculdade privada. Objetivo: Descrever as impressões dos gestores de uma IES a respeito do Esporte desenvolvido dentro de sua Instituição. Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, onde foram organizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas no intuito conhecermos o fenômeno estudado. Resultados e Discussões: Foi possível, constatarmos que ambos consideram o departamento de esportes, uma importante ferramenta de inclusão, além de concordarem que, um dos problemas mais importantes seja a falta de um parceiro para dividir os custos operacionais do departamento. Conclusão: Na visão dos gestores, existe a necessidade da criação de parcerias com outras instituições, minimizando assim, custos operacionais.Palavras-Chave: Esporte Universitário; Fenômeno Esportivo; Gestão Esportiva. The Role of University Sports: The impressions of the managers of a Private FacultyAbstract: The present work is a proposal for raising funds for a sports Department of a private college. Objective: Describethe prints of an IES about developed within your Institution. Methods: It is a qualitative research, semi-structured interviews were organized in order to met the phenomenon studied. Results and Discussions: It was possible, we both consider the Sports Department, an important tool of inclusion, in addition to agree that one of the most important problems is the lack of a partner to share the operating costs of the Department. Conclusion: In the view of the managers is a need for the creation of partnerships with other institutions, thereby minimizing operational costs.
