Artificial insemination (AI) is a technique to insert the sperm or semen of bull thawed and processed first into the genital tract of female methods and a special tool called insemination gun, efforts to optimize the management of the cement in order to obtain the quality of cement is optimal to do with the selection of diluent cement. One alternative materials cement diluent is an isotonic solution Commercial (LIK). This study aimed to examine the interaction between the concentration and duration of storage of diluent solution isotonic different to the quality of spermatozoa cow simental. This research was conducted at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit of Artificial Insemination Centres (UPTD BIB) Tuah Sakato, Payakumbuh. In April 2016. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) factorial design to Factor A (Concentration LIK) ie A1 = 100 ml Tris Egg Yolk, A2 = (60 ml) Tris Egg Yolk + (40 ml) LIK, A3 = (55 ml) Tris Egg Yolk + (45 ml) LIK, A4 = (50 ml) Tris Egg Yolk + (50 ml) LIK, and factor B (retention) is B1 = 0 day, B2 = 1, B3 = 2 day, days, B4 = 3 days. Each treatment consists of three replicates. Parameters measured were motility, percentage of survival, abrnormalitas, and MPU. These results indicate that an isotonic solution can be used as an alternative Commercial diluent with the best results on the percentage LIK 40 ml, but the effectiveness of the efficiency of storage use was only on the first day (24 hours).
Tanjung Kepulauan Meranti Village, Riau has production large sago plants so that the waste is used as animal feed with pellet technology. The purpose of this service to utilize sago pulp that has not been used as feed of broiler. The service method uses PAR, which is a method of involving community groups as whole in research activities so that positive social change occurs. The results show that community groups are very enthusiastic about participating in community service activities with indicators the ease with which community groups understand the material provided. Some of the material conveyed that sago pulp can be fermented to increase nutritional value, especially protein and reduce crude fiber, then fermented sago pulp can be used as broiler feed pellets. In conclusion, sago pulp can be used as a pellet product at a low price as an alternative to commercial pellet feed to reduce costs in broiler farming
The aim of this research is to study of pH, population and to determine the diameter of clear zone lactic bacteria on Escherchia coli isolasted form corn waste silage with addition of different corn flour. The design used completely randomized of factorial using 3 x 3. Factor A was the composition of substrate that is : A1 : 100% corn feel + 0% corn straw, A2 : 50% corn feel + 50% corn straw, A3 : % corn feel + 100% corn straw. Factor B was the addition of corn flour, namely : B1: 0%, B2 : 5 % and B3 : 10%. The results showed the not interaction (P>0.05) between factor material used for pH decrease, lactic acid bacteria population and the clear zone diameter on Escherchia coli. The conclusion that silage with addition of corn straw 100% is the best treatment because it can reduce pH, increase the number of BAL population and the diameter of the clear zone.
