Rice is a staple food that is very dominant for Indonesia. Production of rice in 2014 as PENDAHULUANBagi bangsa Indonesia, beras merupakan pangan pokok yang sangat dominan.
This study conducted to formulate a possible scenario in the future (prospective strategic). The scenario is based on conditions that may occur in the future toward on the key factors that influence the development of banana chips industry in Bandarlampung. This study aimed to: (1) identify the factors that influence the development of banana chips Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) industry in Bandarlampung, and (2) determine the formulation of banana chips SME development strategy in Bandarlampung, and (3) determine the operational recommendations for the development of banana chips SMEs in Bandarlampung. The analysis tool is the Prospective Analysis to predict the possibilities that occur in the future and prepare a strategic action needs to be done and see if changes are needed in the future. The studied showed that the critical success factors of banana chips business development in order to increase market share and become a superior product in Bandarlampung are (1) technical capability, (2) managerial skills, (3) access to information, (4) the production process, and (5) availability of raw materials. Formulation of enterprise development strategies carried out by combining the results of stakeholder analysis and a prospective analysis, to generate an optimistic scenario for the development of banana chips in Bandarlampung. Operational recommendations for the development of banana chips in Bandarlampung prepared using a prospective analysis: (1) increase the technical ability of entrepreneur, (2) increase the managerial skills, (3) increased access to information, (4) modern processes for production, and (5) increasing the availability of raw materials.
This research is about the design of an automation system by using microcontrollertechnology. The automation system defined in this research is the automation in the irrigationand fertilization process that has been designed by the needs for hydroponic vegetablecultivation, in an attempt to help hydroponic farmers and the community in controlling andcaring for vegetables automatically. The research stages are initiated from analyzing the needsof system development, continued by designing hardware and software, and implementingautomation systems for the last stage. The developed automation system consists of 1 module,1 sensor, Arduino Uno, and 2 relays and pumps. The RTC module is utilized to adjust thefertilizer scheduling time, while the utilization of a water level sensor is aimed to detect thewater level in hydroponic vegetable installations. Arduino Uno is utilized as a microcontrollerto process all data generated from the automation system. The data sent by the two sensors thenwill be processed to the objective of turning on the relay. In this system, 2 relays are used. Thefirst relay is a relay as a switch to turn on the water filling pump and the second relay is a relayfor the fertilization pump. Furthermore, the automation system is equipped with 2 pumpsaiming for filling water and fertilizing hydroponic vegetables. The working system is repeatingeach instruction regularly according to the program instructions that are made. This researchhas succeeded in making a prototype of an automation system for hydroponic vegetables, it ishoped that this prototype can be used by farmers and the general public in hydroponicvegetable cultivation to achieve more satisfying results.
This study aims to determine the level of income, the use of production factors for organic rice production, and the level of organic rice farming scale in Pringsewu Regency. This research was conducted from December 2021 to May 2022. Sampling used census sampling, namely taking the entire population as the research sample and the number of respondents as many as 33 people. Data analysis uses income analysis, Cobb-Douglas function analysis, and the level of business scale (return to scale). The results showed that organic rice farming was profitable and feasible to run because it had an R/C ratio of 2.64. Production factors of land area, seeds, manure, labor, and POC have a simultaneous effect on organic rice production with a percentage of production variation of 97.7%. The organic rice production process in Pringsewu Regency is at an increasing level of business (increasing return to scale), meaning that if an addition is made to the use of production factors, it will produce additional production with a larger proportion.
