significant knowledge gap by our ECC providers at our institution. These providers are often the first to assess irAEs when patients present to the hospital with significant medical issues. Teaching intervention was effective as evidenced by post test results. Conclusion: IrAEs is a vital and relevant topic for our patient populations. ECC providers and our multidisciplinary providers are supportive of introducing Immuno-Oncology patient wallet cards and further education on Immunotherapy. Future projects include implementation of ISLAC's irAEs management guidelines.
Fifty six early lung cancers including 6 unresected cases had been treated during the period of 1969 through 1981. They were 32 cases of central type and 24 cases of peripheral type. The central type cancers were all seen in male, 30 cases or 93.8% were among high risk group (smoker male with age over 40) and 31 cases or 96.9% were squamous cell carcinomas. While in the peripheral type, only 8 or 33.3% were female and 20 or 83.3% were adenocarcinoma. Twenty-two cases or 68.8% of central type were found through complaints such as cough , sputum, fever, and/or hemosputum, and only 6 cases or 18.8% were found by means of mass survey. 17 cases or 70.8% of peripheral type, on the other hand, were found by chest X-ray findings on mass survey. Reviewing 50 surgical cases (26 central and 24 peripheral), 2 deaths relating surgery , 2 from unrelated diseases and 2 relapses were reported in the central type. While in the peripheral type , one death relating surgery, one unrelated disease and 4 relapses of cancer were reported. Out of 6 non-operated cases, 3 were treated with radiotherapy, and one with bronchial arterial infusion. 3 out of these 6 died after more than 5 year survival.
