This study aims to analyze the work posture of employees by using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) methods. In this study, the angle of the employee was calculated, and the results showed that on the body part B, the angle of the back movement is 77º flexion, the neck is 18º extension, and the leg is 39º, while the leg is not uniformly supported. One of the body parts, such as the upper arm is formed an angle of 65 ° flexion, the forearm is 13 ° flexion, the wrist is 0 ° flexion, and the wrist is in the intermediate range of rotation. Based on the results of RULA, a grand score is 7, categorized as Action level 4. Meanwhile, based on the results of REBA, the grand score obtained is 11, and also categorized as Action level 4. Based on the calculation of work posture using RULA and REBA methods, it revealed that the operator’s work posture has a high-level and dangerous risk. Therefore, the operator needs to immediately improve his work posture. In addition, due to the lifting position that was started with no squatting position, it causes waist injures, since it becomes the lift’s pedestal.
The process of tempe production in small industry are considering not optimal yet. The process does not consider the ergonomic aspects and is not environment friendly. It causing complaint at some body parts and pollution. For the solution, this research aims to design a multifunctional tool that considering ergonomic and eco-friendly aspect. The design will be based on Ergonomic and the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methods. Based on evaluation using the Nordic Body Map, it shows that body parts with the most complaints are the waist, back, neck, right and left shoulder, wrist and leg. Complaints on these body parts are caused by wrong postural when doing work which is not ergonomic. And by using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) the tool designed by considering user expectation and desire. it was found that the user expect for the tool to be made based on worker anthropometry, moved with a semi-manual machine and the tool model is suitable for work. Overall the design shows that the Ergonomic Tempe Maker Tool is a multifunctional tool that easy, flexible, safe and comfortable to be operated which focused on anthropometric size, uses a semi-manual machine and can be arranged up or down.
Waiting time and queue length at the pharmacy are very influential for customer satisfaction. A hospital's pharmacy which the object of this study has a long waiting time. The aim of this study is to analyzing and modelling pharmacy queue using simulation method, then simulating a new scenario as an effort to improve the queue system. The improvement scenario was simulated by adding one server at payment locket. The simulation was carried out using empirical and theoretical approaches. The analysis was conducted based on the results of the simulation. Results showed that based on validity test can be concluded that the simulation using empirical and theoretical approach do not differ significantly from the real system. Based on the experiment from improvement scenario it showed that the addition of payment server did not show a significant difference from origin situation, the waiting time only decreased by approximately 30 minutes. Journal of Engineering Design and Technology 14considered for improvement at outpatient pharmacy [8] [9][10]. METHODSThis research was conducted using simulation method with theoretical distribution, at both the real system simulation and the proposed improvement scenario simulation. The object of this study was the queuing system at one of hospital's pharmacies in Yogyakarta. Observations were made at the queue system from customers coming to the system until they going home with their drugs. The arrival time of each costumers, waiting time between each process, and service time for each process was recorded to be processed at next step. Observation was done from 7 am-11 am and 14 pm-16 pm. Statistical testing was performed on recorded data to make sure that the data set are enough and there is no outliers.
