Synthesis of silver nanoparticles–chitosan composite particles sphere (AgNPs-chi-spheres) has been completed and its characterization was fulfilled by UV–vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and zetasizer nano. UV–vis spectroscopy characterization showed that AgNPs-chi-spheres gave optimum absorption at a wavelength of 410 nm. The XRD spectra showed that the structure of AgNPs-chi-spheres were crystalline and spherical. Characterization by SEM showed that AgNPs-chi-spheres, with the addition of 20% of NaOH, resulted in the lowest average particle sizes of 46.91 nm. EDX analysis also showed that AgNPs-chi-spheres, with the addition of a 20% NaOH concentration, produced particles with regular spheres, a smooth and relatively nonporous structure. The analysis using zetasizer nano showed that the zeta potential value and the polydispersity index value of the AgNPs-chi-sphere tended to increase with an increased NaOH concentration. The results of the microbial activity screening showed that the AgNP-chi-Spheres with highest concentration of NaOH, produced the highest inhibition zone diameters against S. aureus, E. coli, and C. albicans, with inhibition zone diameters of 19.5, 18.56, and 12.25 nm, respectively.
Decision Support System is a system that can be used in making decisions wisely. Pematangsiantar City has difficulties in determining the favorite public high school, because there are quite a number of public high schools in the city. This study aims to help determine the favorite public high school Pematangsiantar city. Elimination requires several criteria including School Accreditation, Student Graduation Level, Student Number, School Achievement and Educator Staff. The method used in building a decision support system for the selection of favorite public high schools is the Multi-Objective Optimization On The Basic Of Ratio Analyzer (MOORA) method. The final results obtained from this study are ranking of Pematangsiantar City Public High School.
This study aimed to analyze the fatty acid inPliek U oil andevaluate its inhibitor potential based on the interaction to several proteins and enzymes in SARS-CoV-2 using the in silico approach. Pliek U oil containing capric acid, caprylic acid, lauric acid, linoleic acid, myristic acid, oleic acid, and palmitic acids, with oleic acid as a dominant substance. Molecular docking analysis showed that linoleic acid has the best interaction to the receptors with the lowest binding affinity to 3CLpro (6LU7), Spike protein (6VXX), PLpro (6WX4), RdRp (6M71), E protein (5X29), and Spike Ectodomain Structure (6VYB) of -4.9, -5.8, -4.7, -4.3, -5.3 and -5.5 kcal/mol, respectively. The finding suggests that the binding of linoleic acid to the SARS-CoV-2 protein and enzyme may cause impairment of viral attachments to host cells, thus reducing infectivity in COVID-19 patients.
Garlic have an activity as antifungal. Garlic extract need to be non spesific standarized to get consistent quality. Emulgel have hydrophobic or hidrophilic active substances because emulgel is a combination of emulsion and gel. This study aims to obtain the garlic extract emulgel formula which has good quality and good physical properties. The garlic extraction method maceration method with ethanol 96% as a solvent (1:7.5). Non spesific parameter of extract standardization were powder lost on drying, water content, ash content, acid-insoluble ash content, mass of extract spesification. Extract were standardized and then formulated in emulgel dosage form with 25% concentration of extract, then emulgel evaluated for physical properties include organoleptic test, homogeneity, pH, temperature stability, spreadability, stickiness, type of emulsion, and viscosity. The results showed rendemen of extract (8.90 ± 0.12)%, lost on drying (6.85 ± 0.11)%, water content of extract (4.16 ± 1.4)%, ash content of powder (3.24 ± 0.02)% and extract (1.14 ± 0.03)%, acid-insoluble ash content powder (0.96 ± 0.02)% and extract (0.61 ± 0.07)%, the mass of extract spesification 1.028, and for the physical properties test of emulgel preparations obtained homogeneous emulgel, semisolid form, light brown color, smell of extract garlic, stable at 5ºC and 25ºC for 24 hours, pH 7, spreadability (2.49±0.12) g.cm.s-1, stickiness (61.99±5.81)seconds, type of emulsion o/w, viscosity(2.63±0.22) Pa.s. Based on the study was obtained garlic extract that fulfill the requirements of non spesific parameter standardization from Farmakope Herbal Indonesia and emulgel formulation of garlic extract has good physical properties.
Poverty in Indonesia is barrier factor in economic development. One of the successful indicators in the development is decreased poverty rate. This study aims to analyze the poverty level of South Kalimantan Province in 2010-2019. The data used are poverty rate, unemployment rate, Human Development Index, GRDP per capita at constant prices, total population, General Allocation Fund, and Special Allocation Fund, 2010-2019. The analysis method used is panel data regression analysis. The results of the study show that the human development index and GRDP per capita have a negative effect, that means an increasing human development index and GRDP per capita will reduce the poverty rate. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate and special allocation fund have a positive effect, that means an increasing unemployment rate and special allocation fund will be followed by an increasing poverty rate.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
