This study aims to determine the factors that influence patient safety culture on patient safety incidents in Cirebon City and Regency public hospitals which are seen from the characteristics of nurses and patient safety culture. The type of research used is non-experimental quantitative using a cross-sectional research design. The results showed that the characteristics of nurses that influenced patient safety incidents were education with an OR of 5,613 and gender with an OR of 4,478. In conclusion, education, gender, management support, cooperation between units as well as handsoff and transition are factors that influence patient safety incidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the effectiveness of breathing relaxation and warm compress techniques on the reduction of dysmenorrheal pain in Grade II and III nursing bachelor students of YPIB Health Science Institute Majalengka. This study used experimental method with non-equivalent control group approach. The subjects were Grade II and III nursing bachelor students of YPIB Health Science Institute Majalengka in April-May 2017. The number of samples was 20 respondents, divided into two treatment groups with duration 20 minutes each treatment. The sampling technique used accidental sampling. Data analysis techniques were univariate analysis with Mean test, and bivariate analysis with Mann-Whitney U test. The study results described that the group of deep breath obtained probability value ρ of 0.002 <(0.05), while the warm compress group obtained probability value ρ of 0,000 <(0.05). Bivariate analysis showed significant difference in dysmenorrheal pain intensity during breathing relaxation therapy and warm compress therapy. According to this study, female students are advised to use breathing relaxation technique and warm compress as the alternatives to the dysmenorrheal pain reduction. Keywords: dysmenorrhea, breathing relaxation therapy, warm compress.
In the application of services that refers to patient safety, there are several standards that need to be implemented, one of which is the implementation of document handover using communication with the Situation, Background, Assessment and Recommendation (SBAR) method. Communication framework using SBAR method is used when the nurse performs a handover, moves the treatment room or reports the patient's condition to the doctor. This study aims to determine the description of the inpatient wards of PTPN VIII Hospital Subang. This was a descriptive quantitative study with cross sectional approach. Respondents were nurses in the inpatient wards as many as 50 people, taken with total sampling technique, and distributing questionnaire SBAR to nurses. This study was conducted at the PTPN VIII Hospital Subang from July 2020 to August 2020. The results of this study indicated that the implementation of SBAR communication was poor due the Situation component of the nurses did not mention the age, date of admission of the patient and the nursing diagnosis. Regarding the Background component, less than half of the nurses did not mention vital signs. Reaagarding the Aassessment component, a small number of nurses did not perform the latest patient assessment, and regarding the Recommendation component more than half of the nurses did not provide ideas or recommendations to improve nursing problems. It is expected that the nurse in charge of the nursing room can implement effective communication with the SBAR method continuously and further improve information and evaluation regarding the implementation of patient identification.
