Moringa oleifera family Moringaceae and Ocimum sanctum family Labiatae has been reported to possess antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiinflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Moringa oleifera and Ocimum sanctum extracts have been used to treat antimicrobial infections. The aim of this present study is to formulate and evaluate of polyherbal anti-aging cream by combining the extract of Moringa oleifera with Ocimum sanctum to achieve multipurpose skin effects such as anti-aging, fairness, softening and antiseptic effects. The polyherbal anti-aging cream formulations comprising of hydroalcoholic extract of Moringa oleifera and Ocimum sanctum, carbapol 940, xanthan gum, stearic acid, glycerol monostearate and cetyl alcohol were prepared and evaluated for physicochemical parameters and the results showed the production of stable polyherbal anti-aging cream. The formulated polyherbal anti-aging cream (O/W) was subjected to characterize like visual inspection, pH, viscosity, good spreadability, good consistency, homogeneity, no evidence of phase separation and ease to washable from skin. Formulation (F4) exhibited fulfilled the objectives of the current research and % drug release is 98.78 and exhibit good anti-microbial activity.
Psidium Guajava, family Myrtaceae and Glycyrrhiza glabra family Leguminosae has been reported to possess antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiinflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Gauva and Liquiorice extracts have been used to treat antimicrobial infections. It contain several chemicals compound such as flavonoids, tannins, phenols, triterpenes, saponins, to take the benefit of the nature of extract. Psidium Guajava and Glycyrrhiza glabra prepare shampoo incorporating in the herbal constituent base and evaluate this natural herbal shampoo. The herbal shampoo formulations comprising of hydroalcoholic extract of Psidium Guajava and Glycyrrhiza glabra (ethanol:water 80:20v/v), coconut oil, castor oil, cymbopogon citrates oil were prepared and evaluated for physicochemical parameters such as visual appearance, pH, viscosity, % of solids content, foaming capacity and the results showed that the formulation F4 of anti-dandruff herbal shampoo contains all good characters of an ideal shampoo and it was found to be harmless, more effective, ease of manufacturing and economical compared to synthetic antidandruff shampoo.
In the recent years scientific and technological advancements have been made in the research and development of oral drug delivery systems. The aim of this study was to formulate and evaluate of orodispersible tablets by direct compression for fenofibrate by using super fast disintegrating agents like croscarmellose sodium. The use of super disintegrant and excipient for preparation of fast disintegrating is highly effective and commercially feasible. In the present investigation poorly water soluble drug is one of the most important parameters of oral formulations sucessfully developed fenofibrate was using solvent evaporation method drug: PEG 6000 in (1:5 w/w). The formulation F7 was the optimized formula that showed satisfactory results with various physicochemical evaluation parameters like thickness, hardness, weight variation, friability, drug content, % drug release almost 79.98% within 15 min. and it was follow the maximum higuchi release kinetics that regression coefficient values ‘r2’= 0.995.
The oral route is the most important and recommended route of drug administration. Oral route is the safest and convenient route of drug delivery because of wide range of drugs are administered through this route. Oro dispersible tablets are novel oral drug-delivery system as they have improved patient compliance and have some additional advantages compared to other oral formulation. Oral dispersible tablet are solid unit dosage forms, which disintegrate or dissolves quickly in the mouth within a minute in the presence of saliva without chewing or water. The dosage form containing super disintegrates which impart the quality of quick disintegration in the presence of saliva and also play an important role in the formulation of oral dispersible tablets. The present review is focused on ideal properties, objective, advantages and disadvantages and evaluation parameters.
The herbal cosmetics are natural and free from all the harmful synthetic chemicals which generally may turn out to be lethal to the skin, the natural ingredient used assures no side effect one can applied them any time. So, herbal cosmetic are more referable as compared to synthetics one.The purpose of the present work is to formulate and evaluated herbal hand wash using natural ingredients to promote the personal hygiene. The formulated hand wash was evaluated for different parameters like pH, colors, foaming efficiency, viscosity and stability. The herbal hand wash formulated using neem extract for antibacterial property, aloevera juice for soothing property, glycerine for moisturization, sodium lauryl sulphate as a surfactant, carbopol 934 as a jellying agent, rose oil for fragrance and distilled water, the hand wash is prepared and evaluated then the result was documented. 5 People were asked for acceptability of fragrance and their opinion was taken. The fragrance was found to be good as compared to reference hand wash.: The hand wash was found to be light green aromatic and homogeneous with rosy fragrance. pH was 6.0 which is similar to the skin pH. The hand wash was found to be stable in all evaluation parameters with good cleaning property.
