The Life Satisfaction Index was used as the measure. Among this group of retired men, the most popular leisure activities were audio-visual and reading. The strongest predictor of life satisfaction was the frequency of participation in leisure activities, followed by the level of satisfaction with health, income, and planning of leisure activities.
Online shopping has gained importance with the increase in the use of internet parallel to the development of technology. This development of importance in the field has necessitated the research of the factors effecting online shopping behavior. This study has been carried out with the purpose to determine the effect of hedonic and utilitarian shopping values on consumers' perceived benefits and risks in online shopping. The research data has been obtained through an online survey based on the voluntary participation of a 336 person consumer group, using the "Perceived Risk and Benefit Scale of Online Shopping" developed by Forsythe, Liu, Shannon & Gardener (2006) and the "Hedonist/Utilitarian Consumption Scale" developed by Babin, Darden & Griffin (1994). As a result of the analysis of the research data; a positive relationship has been established between the consumer perception of benefit in online shopping and the hedonic and utilitarian consumption values.
Influences of intergenerational support on life satisfaction levels of older persons were investigated. Participants were 200 persons aged over 60. Hierarchical regression was used for data analysis. Variables relating to help received from children were entered into regression equations, then variables relating to help provided for children were added to the equation. Results indicated a negative relationship between older men's and women's life satisfaction and the amount of help they received from their children. In other words, the more help provided by the children, the larger the decrease in the older persons' life satisfaction levels.
