Abstract-Earthquake is a serious problem in economic, social, and cultural point of view. The forecasting and prediction can be one way solution in reducing the effects of earthquakes in a region. In this paper, pattern informatics method was modified with time parameters to conduct hotspot prediction of seismic activity for the earthquake forecasting in Java. The experiment using seismic activity and earthquake data in Java were conducted to examine the perfomance of proposed method with several period prediction scenarios. The prediction results show an improvement of prediction result and shorten the prediction period.Intisari-Gempa bumi menjadi masalah yang sangat besar, baik dari sisi ekonomi, sosial, maupun budaya. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi dampak gempa adalah dengan melakukan prediksi kemungkinan terjadinya gempa pada sebuah wilayah. Pada makalah ini dilakukan prediksi hotspot aktivitas seismik menggunakan metode Pattern Informatics yang dimodifikasi dengan penambahan parameter waktu untuk peramalan gempa di Pulau Jawa. Experimen menggunakan data aktivitas seismik dan gempa dilakukan untuk menguji kinerja metode yang diusulkan dengan beberapa sekenario periode prediksi. Dari hasil prediksi terlihat peningkatan hasil prediksi dan memperpendek rentang waktu prediksi.
Sistem kalibrasi termometer infrared direct reading umumnya terdiri dari benda hitam (blackbody) sebagai media kalibrasi dan termometer kontak (termokopel atau Pt-100) sebagai termometer standar. Namun, penggunaan termometer kontak tersebut dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kesalahan pengukuran karena adanya gradien suhu pada media kalibrasi. Pada penelitian ini pengaruh gradien suhu telah ditiadakan dengan menghilangkan penggunaan termometer kontak sebagai termometer standar. Sebagai gantinya, benda hitam telah dikalibrasi sehingga radiasi termal yang dipancarkannya akan setara dengan suhu ekspektasi (texp) yang merupakan suhu acuan pada kalibrasi termometer infrared direct reading. Benda hitam yang telah dikalibrasi terhadap suatu termometer radiasi standar untuk tanggapan spektral 8-14 m dan emisivitas 0,95. Representasi dari sumber radiasi termal acuan tersebut berupa suatu persamaan yang melibatkan beberapa faktor, di antaranya suhu termometer radiasi standar. Penggunaan persamaan kalibrasi pada benda hitam untuk rentang 50 C-500 C memberikan ketidakpastian antara 2,7 C dan 5,7 C.
This study was conducted to investigate e-learning acceptance and factors influencing higher institution students in Brunei Darussalam. Among the factors involved in this study were perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, self-efficacy, technology availability, and usage and intention to use. Technology acceptance models (TAM) were used as a basis for the study and for hypothesizing the effects of such variables on the use of e-learning. The findings of this study found that there is significant influence of self-efficacy to perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness while perceived ease of use has direct impact to perceived usefulness and perceived usefulness has influence on intention to use towards e-learning systems.
Electrocardiograph (ECG) is a device used to measure electrical activity from the heart.The existence of abnormalities in the heart, it requires a tool to detect the symptoms of the disorder earlier so that a Smart Cardio Device is made with an intelligent system.This intelligent system is used to detect ECG output signals and separate them from normal ones with those with disease disorders. In determining the validity of the ECG signal that is released by the tool made, a standard system is needed to justify the signal.Of course, it takes experts who are competent in their field to determine this. This research collaborates with one of the calibration labs made by the National Standardization Agency (BSN) with calibration researchers who are experts in the ECG field who are developing a method specifically for calibrating ECG signals. The general calibration method used is the internal calibration method with calibration features on ECG devices and external calibration with the help of patient simulator. In this study external calibration methods were used, namely methods that take into account the validity or validity of measurements by looking at the value of uncertainty. The thing that is done in determining this uncertainty is the calculation of values by making several measurements to get the value of the degree of effective freedom and an expanded uncertainty value. The result shows the value of the effective degree of freedom is 93, 91 mV and the uncertainty value that is extended is 0.058 mV.
