The process of planning and decision making in the development program for this is oftenly done by top-down. Most often society is not given a choice and an opportunity to provide input. Sometimes government assistance creates dependency, which in turn would create trouble than help. The purpose of this study was to illustrate the potential of tourism and economic potential in the village Cibuntu as well as to determine the model to improve the local economy based on tourism. Samples are some families in the village Cibuntu. The results of this study indicate that the tourism and economic potential are very diverse and can support tourism activities and for the community-based model of economic improvement which can be implemented is culinary-based, homestay based and craft-based.
Batulayang Tourism Village is one of the tourist destinations in the Cisarua area of Bogor Peak. This area actually has good tourism development potential with various tourist objects and attractions including natural potential (landscapes, waterfalls, village, natural atmosphere, rivers), the cultural potential (traditional dance, village specialties), artificial tourism (outbound, camping ground, paragliding, hiking, tracking, and treetop). The current condition of Batulayang Tourism Village has been visited by many tourists, however, it still has not been positive for the surrounding community. The surrounding community is more of a spectator and watched by tourists. Even if the community is involved in the management of the tourist area, it will have a positive impact on increasing community income. Community service regarding the improvement of homestay management capabilities in Batulayang Tourism Village, Bogor Regency was attended by 20 homeowners whose homes were willing to be used as homestays. The service method that is carried out is by conducting lectures (counseling), discussions and presentations. The results of this community service are that the provision of knowledge and technology on improving homestay management capabilities in Batulayang Tourism Village, Bogor Regency is well received by the homestay owner and reaches the planned destination. This is indicated by the ability of homestay owners to be able to interact with tourists and provide opportunities for tourists to provide input and advice to homestay owners. In addition, almost the entire implementation of this service has been carried out according to the planning.
Many techniques based on understanding have given meaning to creative tourism and have established the basics of creative tourism. Many terms are obtained such as creative economy, creative city, creative business, creative governance to creative tourism. Creative tourism has been stimulated as a new form of tourism with more forms of activity. This study focuses on the batik industry in kampung batik Kauman, Pekalongan. The research method use with theoretical lens approaches or perspectives in qualitative research, and advocacy perspectives that shape the types of questions asked, inform how data is collected and analyzed. In this study it was found that batik as a creative industry has an impact on the tourism sector: 1) batik festival as an innovation carried out in developing branding strategies; 2) uniformity in marketing is needed so that healthy competition occurs. Batik synergy has been able to attract tourists and local economic development; 3) tourism facilities and infrastructure based on local communities are supporters of creative tourism activities. Lack of time in observation, so there are aspects that have not been analyzed. In the future that all stakeholders are involved to study and develop the concept of creative tourism towards sustainable tourism in the kampung batik Kauman.
The development of tourism sector in Labuan Bajo is expected to improve the welfare of the local community. The purpose of this research is to see the potential of human resources in the tourism sector, as well as to find out the opportunities and challenges of human resources for tourism midwives in Labuan Bajo. This study was designed with a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the various data obtained. Primary data is a factual approach to support secondary data that has been obtained earlier. The results of the study indicate that the development of labor absorption and the availability of labor is still a gap that must be considered to make Labuan Bajo a premium destination. The development of infrastructure and the tourism industry has not been matched by the development of human resources in Labuan Bajo. The findings of this study indicate that the problem of human resources in Labuan Bajo is not only about availability, but also about insufficient qualifications. For this reason, increasing the quality and quantity of labor availability needs to be accelerated by providing educational institutions and skills that are in accordance with destination development.
