The present study examines the efficiency of the healthcare system in Turkey by focusing on one hospital situated in Ankara. TOPSIS-DEA methodology was adopted for this purpose to determine and compare the efficiency of hospital units while assigning different weights to individual types of data and relying on q-rung TOPSIS to handle uncertainty. The outcome is a set of rankings assigned to individual hospital units, thus informing the decision-makers of the strategies that should be adopted to improve hospital functioning.
Transportation and assignment problems are subject of extensive research focusing on the optimization of shipping routes and utilization of resources to decrease costs or increase profits. In this work, these approaches are generalized to cases with multiple inputs/outputs, while improving the discrimination power and reducing the computational complexity compared to the existing models. The applicability and strength of our model is also demonstrated by applying it to practical scenarios alongside these conventional approaches.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
