Streptococcus pyogenes pharyngitis is a common childhood disease. The aim of this retrospective study is to evaluate proportion of macrolide resistance among pharyngeal isolates of S.pyogenes from pediatric patients between 01.01.2009 and 31.12.2013. The strains were isolated and identified by conventional methods. The antibiotic susceptibility testing was performed by disc diffusion according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institude standards.
