PurposeIn this study, art is considered as a product subjected to marketing activities. In this context, this study aims to present a conceptual framework covering the research areas related to art marketing, the relation of art product with brand and consumer and how internet technologies can transform the art market. Finally, the situation of art marketing and its progressing process in a developing country and its potential horizons was discussed.Design/methodology/approachThis study uses a literature review to present a conceptual framework about art marketing activities and their potential horizons in an emerging country.FindingsGlobalization, digitalization, democratization of access to art products, art becoming a subject for marketing, open up new horizons for western markets as well as for developing countries. Developing countries constitute a new market segment for the art market. Addressing the changes and the transformations in art market in terms of these markets will provide important opportunities for marketing researchers and practitioners.Originality/valueThis study elaborates the art marketing concept in a developing country. The marketing of art is a subject studied and elaborated mostly in western countries. It is thought that this study is differentiated in terms of addressing these dynamics from a developing country point of view.
Bu çalışmanın amacı, tüketicilerin ikinci el alışveriş motivasyonlarının ve tüketici sinizminin çevrimiçi ikinci el alışveriş platformlarından ürün satın alma niyetleri üzerindeki etkisinin ve çevresel endişenin bu etki üzerindeki düzenleyici rolünün belirlenmesidir. Çevrimiçi ikinci el alışveriş platformlarından en az bir defa ürün satın almış 495 kişiden yüz yüze anket yöntemiyle elde edilen verilere hiyerarşik regresyon ve moderatör analizleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, tüketicilerin ikinci el satın alma motivasyonlarından sistem karşıtlığı, ekonomik motivasyon ve nostaljik haz ile tüketici sinizminin satın alma niyeti üzerinde anlamlı etkisinin olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca çevresel endişe seviyesinin düzenleyici rolünün anlamlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna göre sistem karşıtlığı, ekonomik motivasyon ve tüketici sinizminin satın alma niyeti üzerindeki etkilerini tüketicilerin çevresel endişe seviyesi farklılaştırmaktadır.

In 1950, Alan Turing came up with the idea that computers might be able to imitate human behavior. According to Turing, artificial intelligence could analyze texts, make modelling the knowledge to help decision-making, reproduce a standard reasoning and use this information to make decisions and to produce knowledge thanks to machine learning. In this research, a literature review is conducted concerning different aspects of the subject. This conceptual paper focuses on intellectual influencer concept to offer a differentiation tool for influencer marketing activities. First, influencer marketing is explained from the traditional point of view. Secondly, the historical development process of the public intellectual concept which was formerly a subject of non-marketing disciplines such as journalism, sociology, and philosophy is discussed. Subsequently, the relationship between these two concepts together with influencer marketing and related marketing communication activities are evaluated. Finally, marketing-related areas where intellectual influencers can produce content are elaborated. This study could open a fresh field in academic research by bringing a new dimension to influencer marketing. Also, it can offer a noteworthy alternative for businesses in terms of differentiation, attracting attention and reaching target markets.
