Intralesional bleomycin injection is an effective and a safe method for treatment of hemangiomas and vascular malformations, decreasing the need for invasive primary surgery or systemic treatment in 71% of cases and decreasing the magnitude of secondary surgical procedures in cases with moderate results.

Intraperitoneal instillation of 200 mg of lidocaine decreased the incidence and scores of postcesarean pain when the parietal peritoneum was sutured. Further studies in a setting offering more effective acute pain control protocols, preferably with patient-controlled analgesia, are recommended to assess the use of lidocaine before it can be widely practiced.

Parietal peritoneal closure after cesarean delivery is associated with a higher incidence of early and persistent postoperative pain. A high pain score on the 1st day is a predictor of persistent pain.
