. Uterine involution time and ovarian activity in weaned and suciling .ro.r. bun. J. Anim. Uterine involution time and ovarian activity were studied in iutumn-and spring-lambiig .*.r. Macroscopic uterine involution was completed earlier in autumn-lambing ewes and this can be related with an earlier resuirption of ovarian endocrine activity. (Call et al. 1976;Schirar and Martinet 1982) did not show any differences. Seasonal differences in uterine involution time have also been reported (Cognie et al. 197 5). These contradictions may be partly due to the criteria utilized to define the end of macroscopic uterine involution (similar horn length, comparison with empty non postparhrm ewes). In this paper we refer to (1) the uterine involution time and the related ovarian activity of autumn-and spring-lambing Coniedale ewes, and (2)
