Abstract:2-alkyl-6-bromo-3,1-benzoxazine-4-one (2) is synthesized by treating p-Bromoanthranilic acid and Acetylechoride or Benzoylchloride. Reaction of 2-alkyl-6-bromo-3,1-benzoxazine-4-one (2). with hydrazinehydrate furnish the corresponding 3-Amino-2-methyl-6-bromoquinazoline-4(3H)-one (3) which on reaction with benzaldehyde afford N,N -arylidene derivative (4). Reaction of 4 with various diazonium salts yields 6-bromo-2-alkyl/aryl-3{[phenyl(phenyldiazenyl)methylene]amino}quinazolin-4(3H)-one .

Triazole derivatives
Triazole derivatives R 0280Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 1,2,4-Triazoles. -The title compound (VIa) shows mild activity against S. aureus whereas (VIb) and (VIc) are moderately active against B. subtilus. -(PATEL, K. D.; MISTRY*, B. D.; DESAI, K. R.; J. Indian Chem. Soc. 79 (2002) 12, 964-965; Dep. Chem., B. K. M. Sci. Coll.,
Conventional and Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of Pyrazole Derivatives andScreening of Their Antibacterial and Antifungal Activities. -Three series of novel quinolylpyrazole derivatives (IV), (VI) and (VIII) are synthesized by condensation reactions of propenone derivatives (III) with hydrazine or semicarbazide derivatives under conventional heating or microwave irradiation conditions. In the conventional method, the yield is lower as compared to the microwave irradiation method demonstrating that the effect of microwaves is not purely thermal. Some of the synthesized pyrazole derivatives show good antibacterial activities. Moreover, all the compounds exhibit mild to moderate activity against Candida albicans.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
