We demonstrate a experimental study on the procedures of the K.60 recommendation of the ITU-T for use in measurements of electromagnetic interference of the PLC/BPL data communications systems over electric medium-voltage lines, through the unintentional irradiation over other OF communications systems operating in the same range of frequencies. Our experiments showed that the K.60 recommendation does not present satisfactory results when used to determine the spurious irradiation in real power line conditions and needs revision. The field tests were conducted in Brazil.
This paper presents results of non-intentional irradiation measurements by broadband over power line in medium voltage power line distributions (PLC/BPL) on National Air Force radio communications, operating in the same environment of PLC/BPL system, with voice and data transmission in the HF frequencies. The procedures of the ITU-T/K.60 recommendation to use in electromagnetic interference measurements was applied, but due did not present good results with power lines operating in real conditions, they are reviewed and proposed changes. The experiments were conducted in São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, with the support of Aeronautics tactical mobile communications system, in HF.
Palavras-chaves ⎯ Power line communication, broadband over power line, interferência, freqüências HF, propagação ionosférica.
