SynopsisThe theory of Hypo-Elasticity is generalized so as to include the theory of (anisotropic) elasticity as a special case, and to include thermal effects. Explicit restrictions on the constitutive equations, arising from thermodynamics, are obtained.
A recursive algorithm is developed for the piecewise-constant solution of dynamic equations via block-pulse functions 1,2, .... m. For 1~j~m (where j and m are integers) and final time T, each block-pulse function tPJ(t) is defined by "'1(1)=1 for (j-I)T{m,;;t
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
