This paper presents on-line efficient detection and adaption of rotor resistance in the Indirect Vector control of induction motor. As the rotor resistance variations occur during the normal running condition of motor, it can cause performance deterioration unless it is detected and compensated. In this paper a novel approach for rotor resistance determination is proposed directly from decoupled stator voltage and currents and the response of speed, torque and currents are examined by including rotor resistance variations. The proposed method in the paper will definitely overcome the problems related to rotor resistance variations and improves the performance of Vector control.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
