Polycrystalline samples of iron(II)‐cyclo‐tetraphosphate were prepared and the magnetic properties were investigated using magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and heat capacity measurements. The Curie‐Weiss law is obeyed down to ca. 240 K and a paramagnetic Curie temperature Θp of 28 K was obtained. Susceptibility‐ and heat capacity mesurements revealed a Curie‐temperature TC of 17 K. Furthermore, the heat capacity experiments indicate that the compound does not exhibit low dimensional magnetism. The results show that no simple antiferromagnetic order can be assumed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
