Preprocessing is an operation with images at the lowest level of abstraction. Many preprocessing steps are used in the generation of images for a better quality. Skeletons are important shape descriptors in object representation and recognition. The present paper investigated how different skeletons (thinning and skeletonization) are going to be affected on various preprocessing methods. The experimental results on different images indicate good comparison of variation of skeletons on different methods of preprocessed steps.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
