PT. Dian Ciptamas Agung is a company engaged in the shipping industry as a provider of freight services by using the vessel and barge tugboat. Based on the data on the existing problems discussing the work accident on the vessel owned by PT. Dian Ciptamas Agung and the efforts made by the company in minimizing the work accident that occurred. The purpose of this research is to know the sources of work accidents that occur in order to improve the safety of work on vessels owned by PT. The great. The research was conducted by processing the data from investigative reports, the year of events news from 2018-2019 period. This shipping company needs to pay attention to the things that cause a work accident on the vessel so it can be done and pay attention to things that drive the crew to more discipline in working on the vessel 

Angkutan laut untuk daerah kepulauan merupakan moda transportasi yang utama untuk menyatukan pulau-pulau yang tersebar khususnya pulau di perbatasan negara. Pelabuhan Menado sebagai pelabuhan hub di wilayah sulawesi utara diperkirakan akan segera mencapai titik jenuh dan diperkirakan akan tidak mampu lagi menampung peningkatan kebutuhan angkutan dalam menunjang percepatan pembangunan serta peningkatan kesejahteraan di daerah perbatasan dan daerah-daerah lainnya yang dilayaninya, apalagi ditambah dengan problem tingginya sedimentasi yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proyeksi kebutuhan panjang dermaga berdasarkan jumlah kapal yang sandar, jumlah kapal dan jumlah barang, jumlah kapal dan jumlah penumpang serta jumlah kapal, jumlah penumpang dan jumlah barang, dan berth occupancy ratio (tahunan, bulanan dan harian), sedangkan metodenya menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menganalisa data kunjungan kapal terlebih dahulu kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menghitung proyeksinya. Hasil penelitian untuk lima tahun kedepan menunjukkan bahwa perhitungan berdasarkan jumlah kapal 46,50 meter, jumlah kapal dan jumlah barang, 48,80 meter, jumlah kapal dan jumlah penumpang 62,05 metter dan jumlah kapal, jumlah penumpang dan jumlah barang membutuhkan penambahan panjang dermaga 40,30 meter. Dan dibutuhkan penambahan panjang 250 meter berdasarkan perhitungan BOR Harian

Internet has been acknowledged as the source of information, all kinds of it. Especially in education, it is resourceful both for the students and teachers. The use of the internet as an aid to education is also applied in our maritime academy in Jakarta. Providing access to the internet for students, called cadets, is relatively new on the premises. This study is intended to find out how the cadets access the internet and how their access to the internet gives impact to the process and eventually the result of their studies. This quantitative study is conducted by distributing online questionnaire. Data was collected from 240 respondents as sample and analyzed using Pearson correlation formula. At level of significance 0.01, the results are as follow: there is a positive and significant correlation between the intensity of internet usage and the cadets' achievement with R correlation = 0.701; there is also a positive and significant correlation between the availability of internet access and the achievement with R correlation = 0.453.
