The purpose of this research is to determine preschool students' usage profile of information and communication technology (ICT). To investigate children's use of ICT, a questionnaire was completed by the parents of 703 children, age 4-6. Frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used to describe the interaction. In addition, inferential statistics were used to compare the demographic groups. The results of the study reveal that children live in a technologically rich environment. On a typical day, the mean number of minutes children watch TV is 115 and 28 minutes for computer usage. In parallel with this, children have many computer skills. According to gender, boys use computers more than girls. Furthermore, males have more computer skills than girls. In addition, the effect of parents' educational level and monthly income on children's ICT usage skills was determined. The results imply that children live in a technological rich environment and have basic skills to interact with ICT.

Media consuption is a term in “sociology” that describes the individuals that organize information on the basis of the use of produced goods, rather than on the axis of services and production. Mediums that fall under the scope of media consumption include radio, television, computer, mobile phones, newspaper, and magazine formats. The usage patterns and applications of these tools are internet, music, movies, games, etc. Among children between the ages of 5 and 8, those who do not use computers represent a small percentage of 10%. Even within this age group, a large majority know how to use computers. More than half of children under the age of 8 have played games and watched videos at least once via a smartphone, iPod, iPad or similar device. According to a US study, children spend about 9 hours a day on the screen. Besides this, despite all the options, listening to music and watching television for children and young people continue to be a favorite activity. This paper further explores the impact of media consumption on children's development.

The study is aimed at developing a valid and reliable measurement instrument intended to identify the perception of the third and fourth grade primary school pupils in relation to their teachers’ behaviour throughout their education. The analysis of the related literature and the draft version of the scale were prepared after obtaining expert opinion and trials conducted in the second term of 2015-2016 school year in different state primary schools under the jurisdiction of the provincial directorate of national education in Malatya on the sample of the third and fourth grade pupils. Expert opinion was obtained to determine the content and face validity of the scale and for construct validity. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were also conducted. For statistical operations, studies on 25 items were carried out. Findings obtained based on EFA and CFA analyses suggested that fit indices of the structure of the scale of perceived teacher behaviour were sufficient. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient between the obtained scale and the scores of the test-retest method was also found to be at reasonable level. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the scale of perceived teacher behaviour is an instrument that produces valid and reliable measurements and it could be used to measure the pupils' perception of teacher behaviour.
