The problems related to the integration of the unmanned aerial vehicles into national airspaces is one of the main topics that the scientific researchers are dealing with these days. Despite that, none of them are investigating the UAVs from the surveillance point of view. For that reason, highlighting the problems that have to be dealt with and assessing them through a holistic approach is the aim of the paper. Therefore, the paper takes the different stakeholders view and identify the key factors that have to be taken into account. The authors propose the surveillance technologies that can be considered and evaluated them along the revealed factors through a global view. The results can be applied as a base for the further research in UAVs surveillance domain.
As automated driver assistance functions are getting more and more popular, they will surly have a significant impact on our life especially considering security and the expected serious effects of malicious interventions. In light of the introduced aspects, the Test Field of Zalaegerszeg has started a research to evaluate the required professional and scientific framework to prevent transport systems from malicious external intervention. With regard to this aspect, the homologation system has been analyzed. In accordance with this the main objective of the article is to develop integrity level structure related to transport systems especially focusing on security issues. In this context the paper reconsiders the structure of ASIL to provide a proper framework focusing on the outstandingly important issues of cybersecurity. To develop a novel SIL framework a tailormade method is identified to define risk parameter values related to certain SIL categories. At the end of the research, the investigation has determined the acceptable hazard rates related to the S&SIL architecture.
The grounds of examination are such air traffic challenges as the traffic increase. The focus here is on the safety of commercial transport flights. This paper demonstrates how a technology transfer with three-point approach can elicit information that the aircraft, aerodrome and air traffic control require to fly the aircraft safely and efficiently in case of traffic growth, and the "soft" background, i.e. the legal and organisational base of it. This paper is intended as a portal for information exchange between rail and air transportation. It also refers to human factors, as possibly instable elements of the system, and because of these, the adaptation of fuzzy logic regarding safety-related systems and processes.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
