microstructures on the mechanical properties of the alloy at both room and elevated temperatures is also investigated. By comparing the microstructures and mechanical properties of the cast eutectic Al-Cu-Si alloys with the conventional Al-Si alloys, the results show that refined microstructures with finely dispersed Ni intermetallic particles are formed in the as-cast Al-Cu-Si alloys that impact on the elevated temperature (200-300°C) properties of the alloy.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
