Background:The aging process in the elderly can be described as three stages: weakness impairment, functional restrictions, disability, and handicaps that will be experienced as the process of decline progresses. The cognitive or intellectual system, which is dementia, is one of the body systems that suffers from decline. Dementia is a progressive intellectual decline condition that affects both cognitive and functional abilities. Dementia has a detrimental influence on the elderly if it is not treated promptly, including behavioral changes in sufferers such as forgetting who they are, and the old going alone to a location will frequently become lost since they do not recall the direction home. The brains of the elderly with dementia were discovered to be damaged, with cell death and a loss of blood supply in the brain. The goal of this research was to determine the prevalence of dementia among the elderly in Rojinhome Ikadaen, Okinawa. Methodology : This study is quantitative and descriptive in nature, describing the extent of dementia in the elderly when it comes to doing daily tasks. Results : The majority of elderly women (75-90 years old) had a history of hypertension, and the majority had moderate dementia. The elderly are supposed to be able to engage in regular physical activities, ranging from low-intensity activities like satisfying daily needs to moderate-intensity activities like participating in orphanage gymnastics programs to promote cognitive function.
