Aim of the study: The objectives of this study are to observe the monthly and annual changes in water samples using physical-chemical methods in order to determine the water quality properties, to reveal pollution problems, to determine the suitability of water quality for aquatic life and to classify the quality of water in accordance with the Surface Water Quality Management Regulation's Inland Surface Water Classes criteria. Area of the study: Lake Tecer is located in the southeastern area of Sivas city and at the end of Brook Tecer, a branch of the Kızılırmak. The lake has a mean depth of 2.4 m and is fed by surface waters and snowmelt. Material and methods: The study period was from March 2011 to February 2012. Samples analysed for several chemical and physical parameters representing water quality were collected monthly over a period of 12 months. Main results: It was observed that the condition of the lake in terms of water quality is good. According to the Classification of the Intra-Continental Water Resources in the WPCR, the lake shows Class I, II and III water quality characteristics. Research highlights: In order to protect the water quality of this water source, to reduce further pollution and to sustain the natural ecological balance consisting of natural fish stocks and other aquatic animals, this lake should be monitored continuously.
Abstract:In this study, the preliminary findings obtained from 3 sampling points, which represent the whole, on Maruf Irrigation Dam, which is located in Boyabat district of Sinop province, for 12 months between September 2015 and August 2016 were examined. The parameters monitored are temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, electrical conductivity, total hardness, total alkalinity, chemical oxygen demand, biological oxygen demand, and dissolved anions and cations (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, ammonium, nitrate, phosphate, chloride, sulfate, and sulfite). Because of its low dissolved ionic matter content, Maruf Dam was characterized as an alkali dam with mid-hard water and low electrical conductivity. In terms of parameters A and B of Surface Water Quality Management Regulation, the dam is considered "high-quality" and "unpolluted". Besides the irrigation purposes, for which the barrage was constructed, the dam can also be used for aquaculture, animal breeding, and farming needs.
Elde edilen sonuçlar göstermiştir ki: Munzur Çayı'nda Chlorophyta (6), Bacillariophyta (54), Cyanobacteria (15), Rhodophyta (1), Ochrophyta (1), Euglenophyta (2), Charophyta (3), Miozoa (2) Water Quality Chance and The Variation of the Algal Flora of The Munzur River (Tunceli-Turkey) A R T I C L E I N F O A B S T R A C T Research ArticleReceived 30 January 2018 Accepted 07 July 2018Phytoplankton distribution and physico-chemical parameters in two stations in Munzur River were determined in the study carried out monthly between February 2015 and January 2016. According to water quality regulation of the supreme, while quality of water is first class property for temperature, pH, oxygen, ammonium nitrate. It is class feature. Also II. The station is in danger of organic pollution due to domestic waste. When the phytoplankton distribution in the region is examined; 84 taxa belonging phytoplankton Chlorophyta (6), Bacillariophyta (54), Cyanobacteria (15), Rhodophyta (1), Ochrophyta (1), Euglenophyta (2), Charophyta (3), Miozoa (2) were detected. In terms of organisms in the phytoplankton Bacillariophyta division was dominant and Cyanobacteria division was subdominant in the two stations. In the phytoplankton, Ulnaria ulna from Bacillariophyta, Nitzschia palea, Bacillaria paradoxa ,Encyonema sp., Navicula sp. and Nitzschia acicularis were mostly found. Lyngbya sp., Spirulina labyrinthiformis, Oscillatoria labyrinthiformis and Oscillatoria mougeotii species beloning to cyanobacteria match to second place in the terms of importance. Chlorophyta, Charophyta and Euglenophyta have not reached important numbers.
