Earthquake is one of the main geological disasters that cause slope instability. The stability analysis of soil-rock mixture slope under earthquake is made with FLAC3D in this paper. According to finding the shear strain concentrated deformation zone and the size of the displacement, they can help us to find the possible instability of the scope and location. The study result shows that the slope is stable in the natural state and certain displacement would occur in the potential slide mass of the slope under earthquake, and this must be taken into serious consideration in practical engineering.
In order to establish the relation between acoustic emission parameter and rock mechanical damage mechanism, as well as to better figure out landscape limestone damage and deformation influenced by uniaxial compression, MTS815 rock mechanical electro-hydraulic servo test system and 8CHSPCI-2 acoustic emission and detection system are applied to implement a test and research on damage evolution of limestone under uniaxial compression and the corresponding acoustic emission feature. On this basis, the acoustic emission feature of limestone under uniaxial compression is analyzed. Moreover, based on the damage variable of normalized accumulated emission ringing count, the uniaxial compression limestone damage model based on acoustic emission feature is established, and the damage evolution curve and equation of limestone is figured out as well. Shown by the research, acoustic emission information reflects the internal damage of limestone, and is closely related with densification of inner original fracture, as well as emerging, developing, and merging of new fractures. The acoustic emission feature of limestone perfectly describes its deformation and damage evolution.
Rock’s uniaxial compression test is completed and the datum is analyzed, then relationship between loading time and AE amplitude, AE counts sum, AE total energy’s released rate come out. Rock’s critical damage is defined which equal result of one minus ratios of residual strength to critical strength. Based on strain equivalence discipline, damage constitutive models related with acoustic emission characteristic are set up. With damage constitutive models established with AE counts sum and AE total energy serving as damage variables respectively and testing datum, the relationship between rock’s damage and stress and strain is described. Then conclusions come out: 1) damage constitutive model with AE counts sum serving as damage variable manifest rock’s damage increasing process and accords with testing result better; 2) theoretical curve is well consistent with testing curve at rock’s peak strength zone.
In tunnel lining quality testing and advanced geological forecasting, the main concern is the local signals, such as the position and form of defects or the unusual mutations; while all kinds of filtering methods based on Fourier transformation reflect the overall characteristics of the signals, but can not describe the time-frequency local properties of the signals; however, the characteristics of the multi-resolution based on the wavelet transformation have the ability to show the local characteristics of the signals in terms of the time domain and frequency domain; based on the analysis of multi-wavelet theory, the paper infers the decomposition and reconstruction of CL4 multi-wavelet, discusses the necessity of multi-wavelet preprocessing and conducts the equalization treatment of CL4 multi-wavelet, realizes CL4 balanced multi-wavelet threshold filtering algorithm based on the application of MATLAB language programming, and compares with the traditional filtering effect based on Fourier transformation; the results show that the both conventional filter and CL4 balanced multi-wavelet filter can clearly distinguish the unusual targets; but the target characteristics through multi-wavelet transformation are enhanced; the lineups are clearer, the noises are removed more thoroughly, the signals are reserved more completely and the images become “clearer”. The multi-wavelet transformation provides good assistance for improvement in GPR image resolution and the definition of the target detection image, and achieves better filtering effect.
With the infrastructure construction of China, more and more tunnel projects are constructed. How to finish a tunnel project efficiently and effectively has become a challenge. The advance detection in tunnel geological disasters has a very important position. This paper mainly discussed the basic principle of advance detection and compared different methods according to the advantages and disadvantages. The author also put forward some suggestions on synthesis methods.
