This paper investigates the outage performance for a wireless system employing maximal ratio combining over various fading channels with Nakagami-m faded cochannel interferers (CCIs) and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). For the general case with unequal power CCIs and AWGN, it derives the exact closed-form expressions of the outage probability when the desired signal is subject to Rayleigh, Rician or Nakagami-m fading. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the effects of various parameters on the system performance.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
