Energy is the most important instrument the societies in need in order to be developed and to carry on production. Since the fossil origin energy sources lead to global disaster and are limited to the reserve, renewable energy sources have attracted the attention within the transition to economic policy which is called the green economy. Thus, renewable energy policies implemented worldwide are increased, particularly in developed countries. Among the renewable energy resources, wind energy is a energy resource that preferable globally with regards to its help on decreasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and economical in regards to the added value, employment opportunities it provides and that it reduces the dependence on foreign energy. In this context, the relationship with economic growth of wind energy in Turkey 1998-2014 period was investigated by the ARDL bounds test approach using annual data. The empirical results obtained in this study indicate that in Turkey for the period considered was positive and significant impact on economic growth of wind energy use.
