This study aims to determine and analyse the level of technical efficiency and the factors influencing technical efficiency of a potato farming in North Dempo, sub-district Pagar Alam City, South Sumatera Province using 51 farmers who are censused. Frontier production function, estimated using the MLE method, is used to determine the level of technical efficiency. Meanwhile, multiple regression estimated using OLS approach is used to determine factors influencing technical efficiency level. The research showed that, land area, seed, organic fertilizer, ZA fertilizer, Ponska fertilizer, and fungiside were significantly affect potato production. The research finds that the level of technical efficiency of potato farming was, on the average, 81.336 percent. The research also shows that the intensity of ex-tension and farmers' experience affect significantly and negatively technical inefficiency while formal education, age, and land ownership status do not.

The purposes of this research are to 1) estimate the frequency of sale until the next harvest season, 2) examine the reasons for saving the crops of rice farmers do, 3) reveal motivation of rice farmers to store their products, and 4) analyze the factors related to the motivation of storing crops of rice farmers in the County of Seluma. The results showed that the frequency of the sale of the crops that farmers is low. Economic reasons farmers saving the crops with the largest percentage of 36,67% was to be sold again to the urgent needs and social reasons farmers save percentage with yields equal to 8.33% is there is often a relative/neighbor who borrowed. The level of motivation of farmers in storing the rice harvest is at a high percentage of category 68,33%. Non formal education factor and experience farming has a real connection with the motivation of saving crops of rice farmers in Seluma. Factors of age, formal education, land area, number of family dependants, and number of previous production doesn't have a real relationship with the motivation of storing crops of rice farmers in the County of Seluma.Keywords : Motivation, Product Saving, Paddy
Calculate the contribution of the income female farm laborer on WonosariVillage Megang Sakti Sub-District, Musi Rawas District. The quantitative method used to analyse survey data. The result shown from this study are: 1) the average amount work time women farm laborer on farming rice fields on Wonosari Village the amount is 445 hours/Cultivating season; 2) the income women farm laborer rice fields on Wonosari Village is Rp3.071.194.-/CS; 3) There are three variables that have significant effect out of the five independent variables to income women farm labourer rice fields on Wonosari village that is age, total family dependents and farming experience; 4) The average contribution of women farm laborer to family income on Wonosari Village is 15,7 percent.
