Objective: To assess factors associated with depression among higher education students and professionals during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. 550 students and professionals participated. The data were collected by means of a digital questionnaire that included Patient Health Questionnaire-9 to assess depressive symptoms. Results: The factors related to depression and social isolation outcomes were significantly associated with the female gender (n= 149; 37,8%; Odds Ratio OR=2,0), white (n=127; 37,2%; OR=1,60), young people (n=130; 39,4%; OR=2,0), without religion (n=70; 40,2%; OR=1,64), with financial problems (n=80; 53,0%; OR=2,40) and family problems (n=98; 47,3%; OR=1,77); who suffered violence during the quarantine (n=28; 58,3%; OR=2,33), increased the use of illicit drugs (n=16; 59,3%; OR=2,69), used sedatives without a medical prescription (n=75; 54,0%; OR=2,94), lived in conflicting relationships (n=33; 54,1%;OR=2,14), lost their job during the pandemic (n=32; 59,3%; OR=1,99) and presented symptoms of anxiety related to COVID-19 (n=155; 45,2%; OR=3,91). Conclusion: there is a meaningful relationship between vulnerability and adopting risk behaviors during the pandemic-imposed social isolation with depressive symptoms. We suggest that health professionals be attentive to the need to adjust their psychosocial interventions when promoting strategies when promoting strategies to mitigate the effects and risks to mental health.
O diário de campo utilizado como estratégia de ensino e instrumento de análise do trabalho da enfermagem ABSTRACTBased on field diaries performed during training on Nursing Administration among students from the Nursing School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, it was analyzed the functional method to organize the work and its consequences for both workers and patients. The objective was to analyze the experience of the students using the field diary as a teaching strategy and tool to analyze the organization of nursing work. The supervised training was conducted with eight students in an outpatient clinic located in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil during eight days. According the reports , we verified that the students analyzed the consequences of the functional method, the leadership style of the nursing coordinator, and ethical issues related to care assistance. The diary enabled the students to make a connection between theory and practice, evidencing difficulties faced in the daily routine of health services and confronting them with knowledge academically produced.Descriptors: Education, higher; Education, nursing; Learning; Health services administration. RESUMENBasado en las anotaciones del diarios de campo durante el entrenamiento en Administración de Enfermería entre los estudiantes de la Escuela de Enfermería de la Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais, se analizó el método funcional para organizar el trabajo y sus consecuencias para los trabajadores y pacientes. El objetivo fue analizar la experiencia de los alumnos en utilizar el diario de campo como estrategia de enseñanza y una herramienta para analizar la organización del trabajo de enfermería. El entrenamiento supervisado se desarrolló con ocho estudiantes en una clínica ambulatoria con sede en Belo Horizonte, MG, Brasil, durante ocho días. Después de la organización de los informes se comprobó que los estudiante s analizaron las consecuencias del método funcional, el estilo de liderazgo del coordinador de enfermería, y aspectos éticas relacionadas con la atención de enfermería. El diario permitió a los estudiantes para hacer una conexión entre la teoría y la práctica, lo que evidencia dificultades en la rutina diaria de los servicios de salud y hacer frente a ellos con el conocimiento académico producido.Descriptores: Educación Superior; Educación en Enfermería; Aprendizaje; Administración de los servicios de salud.
Objetivo: analisar as recomendações para a reformulação das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais do Curso de Graduação em Enfermagem (Resolução nº 573, de 31 de janeiro de 2018) no que tange ao ensino da Enfermagem Psiquiátrica e Saúde Mental no processo formador do enfermeiro. Método: trata-se de um estudo documental. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir de busca textual sobre o tema em diferentes sítios de pesquisa. Os dados foram tabulados com o uso do software Web Qualitative Data Analysis e submetidos à Análise de Conteúdo. As categorias encontradas foram: O cuidado de Enfermagem em saúde mental é um direito de todos; O cuidado de Enfermagem em saúde mental considera a singularidade do sujeito. Resultados: as recomendações fortalecem o ensino de Enfermagem Psiquiátrica e Saúde Mental, trazendo protagonismo para a área no contexto do cuidado em saúde. Conclusão: as recomendações atendem às questões contemporâneas associadas ao sofrimento mental nas populações. A formação do enfermeiro deve atender às questões sociais, políticas e do mercado, considerando os determinantes sociais em saúde e saúde mental.
