A 6-mo single-center randomized controlled trial comparing an exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation program with a control group showed that cardiac rehabilitation could accelerate device endothelialization in atrial fibrillation patients with left atrial appendage occlusion, while also improving the quality of life, exercise capacity, and physical function.
