Automatic target tracking systems are employed in a wide variety of missions and tracking environment such as fire control, guidance, navigation, passive range estimation, and automatic target discrimination. The tracker performance depends upon target size, contrast, speed, and signal-to-noise ratio. The evaluation of a tracker system involves lengthy field trials and measurements. In the present article, a method for quick evaluation of tracker system and working out selection criteria for different tracking algorithm for various target and background combinations have been suggested. Performance measures such as aiming point error, duration of successful tracking, number of tracking losses, indication of confidence, and system reaction time have been used to evaluate the performance of a tracking system.
Cloud computing has recently emerged as a new paradigm for hosting and delivering the services over the Internet. It is an enhanced version of client-server application. In this paper, we will present comparison between cloud computing and clientserver application, highlighting key concepts of cloud computing, its architectural principles, as well as research challenges and its environmental impact. The aim of this paper is to provide better understanding of need of cloud computing.
Various types of sensors-visible, passive night vision, infrared, synthetic aperture radar, etc can be used for desert surveillance. The surveillance capability of these sensors depends to a large extent, on various atmospheric effects, viz., absorption, scattering, aerosol, turbulence, and optical mirage. In this paper, effects of various atmospheric phenomena on the transmission of signals, merits and demerits of different means of surveillance under desert environmental conditions are discussed. Advanced surveillance techniques, ie, multisensor fusion, multi and hyperspectral imaging, having special significance for desert surveillance, have also been discussed.
Enterprise resource planning system is a tool that is use by almost all the industries today because of its power to integrate multiple domain and fractions of work together. An industry may comprise of marketing, sales, quality assurance, human resource etc. The ERP system atomizes most of the manual work done internally in each of these divisions and it also combines the overall work out-put, this way it helps get a good overall view of the entire organization. The same quality of the ERP system is employed in the education sector which also consists of multiple fractions that need integration. For a very long time the paper work in the education sector has been a problem and this is because it is easy to make mistakes when the work is done manually. Human error is inevitable and since human mind has a volatile memory and cannot store too much data there is a need for a system in place that can track and record all the events. This paper is about implementing an ERP system for college automation using RFID tags. Usage of RFID(radio frequency identification) tag helps in tagging each person with a unique ID and this is used for automated attendance marking. This system consists of a set of integrated software modules that support the college in real time. Multiple modules are designed to support each fraction in the college starting from director level to student level. Implementation of this system leads to no paper work and no inconstancy in the data. It provides multiple benefits to the management, teachers and the students. this is a low cost system in terms of implementation and maintenance .
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
