Objective
To report the clinical outcomes of 80 patients with stress urinary incontinence combined with pelvic organ prolapse treated by linear suspension of the middle‐ part of the urethra.
Methodology
Retrospective analysis of 80 patients who underwent linear suspension of the middle part of the urethra to treat stress urinary incontinence and repair of pelvic organ prolapse in our hospital from January 2010 to April 2019.
Results
The mean age of the patients was 50.98 ± 9.7 years old, the follow‐up time was 6–109 months. 54/80 (67.5%) were cured, 11/80 (13.8%) were improved, 10/80 (12.5%) were not cured, and 5 /80 (6.3%) were relapsed. Pelvic organ prolapse quantitation (POP‐Q) scale had no effect on treatment of stress urinary incontinence.
Conclusion
Linear suspension of the middle part of urethra can be an alternative method to treat stress urinary incontinence combined with pelvic organ prolapse.
