This research tells about the revitalization of Islamic education at the Imam Hatip school during Erdogan’s leadership. Also, this study reveals the beginning of Islamic education in Turkey during the Ottoman Empire, the Attaturk government, and continued by Erdogan’s leadership. This research aims to find out about Islamic education during Erdogan’s reign, such as the Imam Hatip Islamic schools, which are the focus of modern Islamic education by the Turkish community. Besides, the research objective is to prove Islamic schools in Turkey developed the contemporary curriculum. The method used is library research, which focuses on journals and books as primary data. The results and implications of the study are in the form of texts that provide strong research arguments about modern Islamic education that is currently developing in the world
This paper attemps to describe how Islamic acculturation was formed in the tradition of Nanga Suhaid Village, West Kalimantan. This paper shed light on community activities in relation to religious interactions, especially in the inner part of the West Kalimantan region, namely Suhaid Sub-district Nanga Suhaid village, Kapuas Hulu district. This study utilized observation, interview, and documentation for data collection through the lens of an anthropological perspective. The results of the study showed: 1) practice of the tradition in the Suhaid village that has long been carried out is a means to maintain the existing traditions. 2) the expression of Islamic Da’wah values could be seen from "buang-buang", plain flour, circumcision, customary law, fruit and da’wah values. 3) The tradition of maintained tolerance within the community to create peace and harmony in the community. Makalah ini berupaya mendeskripsikan akulturasi Islam pada tradisi nenek moyang di desa Nanga Suhaid, Kalimantan Barat. Makalah ini berfokus pada kegiatan-kegiatan masyarakat dan interaksi agama yang saling mendukung khususnya daerah pendalaman kepulauan Kalimantan Barat kecematan Suhaid, desa Nanga Suhaid kabupaten Kapuas Hulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi serta pendekatan antropologis pada masyarakat. Hasil penelitian 1) penerapan tentang tradisi-tradisi desa Suhaid yang telah dilaksanakan sebagai gambaran budaya setempat untuk mempertahankan tradisi yang telah ada. 2) mengambil nilai-nilai dakwah Islam yang ada pada tradisi seperti buang-buang, tepung tawar, sunatan/ khitanan, hukum adat, beruah dan nilai-nilai dakwah. 3) Akulturasi Islam pada tradisi nenek moyang yang selalu menjaga toleransi sesama agar terciptanya kedamaian dan ketentraman pada masyarakat.
Kapuas Hulu is an area located in the interior of West Kalimantan and has 23 sub-districts well-known for their ethnicity, race and culture. Kapuas Hulu has also small kingdoms originating from the Sintang region. The Muslims in Kapuas Hulu come from Dayak tribe, who later converted to Islam. The sultanate’s presence played an important and strategic role, even determined the development of Islam itself in the territory. At the same time, there were some obstacles to Islamization throughout the coastal Sultanate which caused “Near Pedalaman“ area a bit late in accepting Islam. This article discusses the history of the Islamic kingdom in Kapuas Hulu Regency, which is examined from the translation of the manuscript of Prince Kesoema Anom Soeria Negara. This paper traces the development of Islam and the rulers of Islamic kingdoms in Kapuas Hulu Regency. This article is qualitative research. After the data was collected with heuristics, it was analyzed by source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Study results demonstrate that the kingdoms in Kapuas Hulu have contributed to leading their respective villages and providing a solid cultural system for maintaining cultural and state assets. Thus, many local residents converted to Islam through the royal system. Kiyai Pati Uda was the first king from Jongkong sub-district. Another finding indicates that the Prince Kesoema Anom Soeria Negara manuscript also includes the names of royal descendants from Kapuas Hulu Regency, namely from Jongkong, Nanga Suhaid, Bunut, and other sub-districts.
Extremism has been a hot issue for years around the world. Until now, many scientists have investigated extremism through various aspects and their knowledge. however, only a few researchers have investigated the mechanisms of extremism and solutions for religious moderation during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to examine how the solution to extremism in religious moderation is during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is aqualitative research which is literature review. The author uses data analysis methods such as data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that extremism and solutions to religious moderation during the covid-19 pandemic are as follows; 1) extremism can be prevented through national insight during a pandemic to understand religious divisions; 2) Religious extremism can be tolerated during a pandemic in order to provide space for awareness of religious diversity; 3) not being extreme towards one's own religion; 4) Extremism can be carried out in a friendly manner with local culture during a pandemic. The researcher's findings show that extremism and the solution to religious moderation during the COVID-19 pandemic can be done by developing various social aspects
<p><em>The history of Habib Husein Al-Qadrie in spreading teachings in the interior of West Kalimantan began with four young men who migrated from Tarim Hadramaut Yemen. The four people were suggested by his teacher to spread Islamic teachings outside the city. The four scholars separated and spread Islamic teachings in various regions. Habib Husein Al-Qadrie migrated to Aceh, Betawi, Semarang, Matan (Sukadana) and Mempawah. In spreading the teachings of the Islamic religion, Habib Husein is known to many people about his intelligence and policies in overcoming religion. He became Mufti in the Matan Kingdom (Sukadana) and became Mufti Mempawah in West Kalimantan. Habib Husein Al-Qadrie already had a son who became the Sultanate of Pontianak, with namely Syarief Abdurrahman Al-Qadrie. His son had succeeded in establishing the Sultanate of Pontianak in accordance with the mandate from his father to migrate to the residential area of Sungai Kapuas. This is commandment to continue the spread of Islamic teachings through the Pontianak Sultanate.</em></p>
