Summary
The main issues in efficiency of a company as an organisation are relations between the Supervisory Board and the Management Board of a company, and the methods of functioning of Supervisory Boards in governance systems of a company.
The classical and modern approach to the role, place, and importance of corporate governance presented in this article, is yet another prompt to continue searching for the optimum in the organisational, economical, and social meaning.
The study contains description characteristics and analyses (obviously abbreviated) of two approaches and two concepts of management regarding the manager-leader of the near future. The first concept refers to new tasks and skills of the manager-leader. The second concept concerns the nature of the so-called manager of tomorrow, called - although it is not yet common name in management - the manager - eco-leader. In the introduction a reference was made to the issue raised, the purpose of the study, and the justification for choosing the concepts assumed in the study. In the next section, new tasks and skills of the manager - leader of the near future are cited and analyzed. The issues surrounding the concept of eco-leader were also discussed.
Summary
The aim of the article is analysis (structure and direction of development) of Polish foreign direct investments in the Ukraine. The article consists of four parts: first shows the definition of FDI and some aspects and economic conceptions explaining the conditions of their undertaking by companies. The second part presents the economic situation of Ukraine as a country for FDI localization; the third part presents the legal and administrative conditions of business conditions in this country, and fourth shows the characteristics of FDI made in Ukraine by Polish entrepreneurs.
Materials for the preparation of this article were collected at the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine and at the Faculty of Industry and Trade of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kiev. The data included also the elaboration of O.W. Polowin posted by Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The modern economy raises new challenges for companies as entities in business and managers, as organizers and managers of functioning and operation of these companies. What needed is a change in the orientation of the theory and practice of management thinking, to whom and why organized, collective action and encouragement of entrepreneurship must serve, and what should be the mission of a modern and effective management science. An important issue appearing is to build a profile of the modern manager, who faces serious, new, and often unfamiliar challenges. The modern manager must be primarily flexible, resistant to stress, and willing to take risks and enthusiastic. The subject of the article is some problems of modern management of organization. The aim of this article is to describe and analyze the changes in the environment and for modern governance. The study attempted to answer the question: what the challenges faced by today's managers in the management of enterprises. This article is based on the analysis of literature, and diversified in cross time.
