REJECT THE USE OF ORE COPPER SULPHIDE CERAMIC STRUCTURAL AbstractThis study aimed to analyze the effect of incorporation of waste sulphide copper ore. Were determined three different formulations with variations in clay and sulphide of copper, from which prepared the bodies of the test piece. After preparation, these were sintered at temperatures ranging 900-1000°C, 2 hours threshold firing, in order to determine their ceramic properties, such as: water absorption, density, porosity and linear shrinkage firing, as well as mechanical testing to determine the breakdown voltage bending. The results obtained showed that the formulations had adequate properties as the introduction of the waste, although none of them had better values than the formulation without waste.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
