E - Commerce allows consumers to electronically exchange goods and services with no barriers of time or distance. Electronic commerce has expanded rapidly over the past five years and is predicted to continue at this rate, or even accelerate. In the near future the boundaries between "conventional" and "electronic" commerce will become increasingly blurred as more and more businesses move sections of their operations onto the Internet. The e-commerce industry in India is growing at a remarkable pace due to high penetration of internet and sophisticated electronic devices. However, the recent growth rate of e-commerce in India is far lagging behind than other developed countries. The advantages of e- commerce are convenience, Time saving, Options, Easy to compare, Easy to find reviews, Coupons and deals, Increasing customer base, Rise in sales, 24/7, 365 days, Expand business reach, Recurring payments made easy, Instant transactions. There are many big problems and challenged on the way of an online merchant. Factors like safety and security of online money transaction being the biggest problem along with others have curbed the smooth expansion of the online industry in the country.
This study analysis the multifaceted influence CSR on employee organizational commitment and organizational performance. The important matter for corporate sustainable growth especially era of global recession. Researchers are advising corporations to consider amount spent on CSR as investment than expenses. This study focused on employees perceptions towards CSR. Companies worried about high employee turnover, employee absenteeism and employee low motivation towards work and organization. These findings are very useful for decision makers and researchers. The organization can enhance their employee organizational commitment through involving themselves in social activities for instance identifying needs of the community and fulfilling them, working for better environment, involving in employee welfare, producing quality products for customers and complying with government rules and regulations and working within legal ambiance. All these activities significantly and positively influences employee commitment with organization and improve organizational performance .This study provides important information to decision makers involved designing employee related policies for uplifting moral and motivate them to remain loyal committed with their organization and work hard for uplifting of organization.
Entrepreneurship is the core of economic development. It is a multi- dimensional task and essentially creative activity. Entrepreneur is key factor of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship has been a male-dominated phenomenon from the very early age but time has changed the situation and brought women as today's most memorable and inspirational entrepreneurs. The position and status of women in any society is an index of its civilization and progress. Women are equally competent in running business but still lacks behind in spite of women empowerment movement in our country, there are social, cultural and economic hurdles in the way of women entrepreneurship and the major problem is lack of entrepreneurial environment. In spite of having the potential and talent, women are deprived of opportunities, information and education. The paper talks about the status of women entrepreneurs and also analyze the factors which motivates women to start their own venture and the problems faced by them when they ventured out to carve their own niche in the competitive world of business environment. An attempt is made to understand the role of government to accelerate the growth of women entrepreneurship.
At present every successful employee has to pass through the dilemma of work life balance in personal and professional life. For the sake of leading a successful life, people do not hesitate to give extra time for achieving the objectives of life. In the process of getting extra mileage in their professional life they have to make a lot of compromise and sometimes mental piece also gets distorted. We have 24 hours at our disposal to deal with and it is up to us how to schedule and plan the same. It is rightly pointed out by experts, if our life span is 60 years (assumed to be) and if we sleep for 8 hours per day, than 20 years of our life span we used for sleeping only. So planning of our own time is important. At the end of the day priority matters a lot. In addition, relationships suffer and the person begins to experience loneliness and depression. The psychotherapist believes that mid-career professionals are most prone to having work-life imbalances. In the present paper it is an attempt by authors to present a study on work life balance dilemmas faced by nurses working in private hospitals. This study is based on primary sources of data and to some extent secondary sources. Various authentic journals, books and literature on the subject, newspapers, magazines, reports and studies were referred for the conceptual frame work of the study. The analysis is carried out on the basis of socio economic profile and general perception towards the personal and professional life.
Products faking and adulteration is a global menace with origin mainly from Asia and destination largely in Europe and Latin America. While counterfeiting cut across all segments of production, perpetrators use both formal and non-formal channels of distribution to move their products into different countries. This article provides an overview of the sources, causes, volume, implications and control of product faking and adulteration. The paper employed general literature survey, complemented by interviews and personal observations to articulate global picture of product faking and adulteration. It uses deductive reasoning to derive the socio-economic impacts of counterfeiting and the existing methods of controlling it. The paper recommends among other ways an integrated institutional approach to manage the challenges of product faking globally.
