First results for 16 0(TT *, TT ± p) 15 N g . s . at 240 MeV for 0 n = 35°, 60°, and 130° in quasifree kinematics are reported. TT + /7T~ cross-section ratios much greater than for scattering by free protons are interpreted as due to a A-TV interaction interfering with the quasifree process.
Cross sections, pion momentum spectra, and angular distributions for the reactions n C(n~\n + n~) and X2 C (K~,2n~) at a bombarding energy of 292 MeV were measured with a 360° spectrometer. An enhancement of the cross-section ratio of ,2 C(;r~,2/r -) to n C(n~\JZ* K~) relative to that of the elementary cross sections was observed, and is discussed in terms of various nuclear-medium effects including a double-A production channel.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
