Mobil Oil Corporation has crisis management programs to address major emergencies which may affect its worldwide operations. This paper reviews the programs, many of which predate the major industrial disasters that occurred during the past ten years, and explains different levels of involvement from the facility level to that of the corporation headquarters. The paper also describes the role of the Crisis Center at Mobil's Headquarters in Fairfax, VA and the newly organized worldwide Regional Response teams.
